League Rules

discussing the league rules
  1. The Commissioner (Thomas Ashcraft) is all-knowing, all-powerful, his highness… his decisions are final and just!
  2. Men play from the white tees and women play from the red tees.
  3. Summer rules are in effect: play the ball as it lies, don’t touch the ball till it lays on the green (no matter what Ron Howard used to do!).
  4. Any member missing 3 weeks or a team missing a combined 4 weeks will be ineligible for the spectacular grand team prize. Teams missing more than 4 weeks can buy back in for $200.00 to be eligible for the end-of-the-year drawing.
  5. A player must pick up his/her ball after shooting double par unless it still matters to the team score.
  6. To collect any prizes won during the round, the golfer must be present afterward during the Bar-B-Que / Frivolities.
  7. Any monies won by a sub, will be withheld from the sub and all monies go to the bar to buy drinks. Ladies get to keep their money and are highly encouraged to spend in the bar and make friends.
  8. If you cannot find a sub and the commissioner finds one for you it costs $20.00. All monies go to the end-of-the-year pot.
  9. Subs minimum score will be limited to net 33. If a sub shoots lower than net 33 their handicap strokes are added back to the card starting with the highest handicap hole working back to the lowest handicap hole. Subs have no maximum score.
  10. Cheesecakes go to the highest net score or at the commissioner’s discretion.
  11. DBFC&HC (Drinks Bought for Commissioner & the Handicap Czar, Larry Skelly). This running total reminds the commish & HC who will get preferential rulings and an invite for the following year.
